Ask HN: Why does PayPal keep banning people for no reason?

When I see these complaints I assume it's either they are suspected to be doing illegal business, eg, too many stolen card details, drugs, or the account-holder themselves are in a location or of citizenship that will get the service provider in serious trouble vs US law if they continue the relationship.

Often the description of what happened is missing some key points until you enquire further than the original description.

It would be cool if they banned me and canceled all of my credit that I have to still pay off.

They have reasons, it's just that most of the time they refuse to tell you what it is.

Reminder for myself: should i ever sell software by myself, just implement a webhook or an regular check for the commercial bank account.

everyone banning everyone.

only big corps i guess
