Ask HN: Are wuxia and xianxia novels getting increasingly popular?

I've noticed that sites hosting English translations of wuxia and xianxia novels have significantly increased their daily site views from sources like similarweb and google trends. It seems like the spike in popularity has been on the rise since 2015.

I'm curious, have people heard of this genre? Who is the primary audience?
