But the effort required to shift the opinion of the entire community to get an entiery category of posts banned is a lot of work, and might even be a waste of time.
Instead, what I do is I only look at this site via RSS. Then my RSS reader I have various rules I've configured to filter out posts. I gotta start working on some rules to filter out the "I got scammed" posts.
Including the folks who complain because conversations they care about get flagged. They could simply be categorized instead of flagged.
It certainly wouldn't need to be a perfect system to be a better one.
I think that will have to happen with a new forum site, though. HN has worn paths in the carpet treading the same path so frequently.
They're certainly mostly bad, but then most articles are; it's more important not to miss the few interesting ones.
