It looks like what you get from making a more modern Minecraft engine, bit of a sensationalist editing of the title.
In hindsight, you are correct; I'm biased in support of this developer. Cube 2: Sauerbraten is my favorite open source game/engine ever, the developer has a history of longstanding love and commitment to his products, and I'm excited to see what comes of this.
