I'm AMA from the author after he got fired: https://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/1c9257/david_s_gallan...

I was a bit surprised to discover that he didn't consider the firing particularly unreasonable, he was just hurt that they didn't bother to play the game for themselves first: https://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/1c9257/david_s_gallan...

I remember this period. Early 2010's indie games had a "you had to be there" quality, as there were a lot of people showing up to the parties that weren't "in games" in the usual industry sense. I remember meeting the author in a hotel room party. He offered me drugs. He would not tell me what they were, so I declined.

Indie game devs could afford party drugs in the early 2010s?

That’s news to me

I think you might have confused me with someone else! I've never really had drugs at parties to offer people.

Is there a low friction way to play the game today? I'm intrigued, would like to try it.
