FTC - Tech Companies Can't Hide Behind 'Security' to Block Interoperability

This headline is incomplete. To quote the missing phrase from the article:

So, the FTC is calling the bluff on the entire sector: share what material security benefit exists, or else interoperate. I look forward to seeing how various companies react. What we’ve had to date is an absence of official explanations, and it’s time for that to change.

Most of them don't claim it's driven by security.... but they still do it.
