I agree, although I am yet to find something similar to "NERD tree" for VIM. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the cheatsheet though - Dired is mighty handy :)
textmate.el is really nice (though with emacs-starter-kit there is a built in find-file-in-project - a "project" being your git repo by default) - But it doesn't solve the problem I am having - that is, being able to see the whole project at the same time within a nested tree structure.
