Ayaneo NEXT LITE no longer ships with SteamOS-like HoloISO – Windows 11 instead

I wonder if the HoloISO release was just a ploy to get Windows 11 Home OEM cheaper or for free for their devices? I have no idea how that market works.

But I do wish Valve would get their act together and release SteamOS 3 as a proper release, with a related source repository and ability to easily build their own images from scratch (even if some binary blobs would still be involved).

Sure, upstreaming is nice as well (or even nicer in many aspects), but I would like people to be able to actually make changes, test the changes, and distribute the changes to others, and even get them into the SteamOS releases.

Not me, but people :-).

Very annoyed by this change. I had been checking daily on pre-order availability.

I'm still tempted because they seem to offer a HoloISO download that is pre-configured to work on the device.
