How so? They are mostly focussed on smaller capacity aircraft. They practically seem niche compared to Airbus and Boeing.

Though personally I would love a world full of E190s in a nice comfy configuration.

Could have been the Bombardier C-Series but they have been effectively shut out by a combination of aggressive competition by both majors and "anti-dumping" action when Boeing chose to pursue regulatory relief instead of competing on price. Now the C-Series are the Airbus A220, competition successfully averted.

COMAC has delivered 4 this far.

Embraer and Bombardier for smaller aircraft.

Can they ramp up production?

They already supply a ton of smaller aircraft and short haul routes for regional carriers. They would not replace Boeing though

Bombardier only makes bizjets these days.

Bombardier sold all non-bizjet businesses over the last few years.

This included the CSeries which became the Airbus A220, the primary competition for the 737 MAX-7
