I am honestly curious, what are the rational reasons that the current administration wants this to happen?
Is it really cheap labor? Is it voters? Or is it really just the moral concept of open borders, anyone should be allowed to live anywhere in the world that they want?
Maybe it’s all three?
I am genuinely asking, I think we are beyond the point of asking whether or not the current government wants millions of people to cross the border, it’s more a genuine question of why.
Immigration is 1.5M per year, not millions.
Given that the US turns away several times more immigrants than it admits, it's obviously not an "open border".
I notice that "compassion" was not one of your options. For many refugees the option are "immigrate or die".
It doesn't (and can't) address the fact that the reason the Federal Govt wants access in this case is to help non-nationals BREAK FEDERAL LAW.
