37signals first ONCE product: Campfire

I would have thought this would grab HN attention a lot more.

Me either. I don't understand the lack of interest from a product AND engineering perspective. It's super cool.

The 'globe icon' feature could be useful for channel names (et al.) in multinational companies where English is not the native language.

Even if most of the communication occurs in English, names and titles are often in the local languages.

Not sure if it was intended for such cases or just for i18n.

Could be very intriguing for technical groups or other communities with discord continuing to bloat.

... so they made their existing campfire SaaS app installable locally?
