Why landing on the moon is proving more difficult today than 50 years ago

Is it more difficult today than 50 years ago? That doesn't seem obvious to me. What seems more obvious to me is that 50 years ago, the US basically devoted itself entirely into making a moon landing. Today, nobody is making the effort on that scale or with that sense of urgency.

Cause the first one was faked

There are simple answers, albeit not politically correct ones: 1. The quality of education has declined precipitously in the US since the 60s 2. Organizations no longer focus on hiring the best based on merit but rather meeting “diversity” goals regardless of the qualifications. 3. Governments and the corpocracy has become a permanent, incestuous relationship committed to siphoning and redistributing taxpayer dollars.

I don’t see it changing anytime soon. The US Congress is a collection of corrupt dinosaurs, on par with the old Soviet Union Politburo.
