Like I said upthread: this was mostly true in 2001, when the power grid wasn't exposed to network attackers.

When I hear this, my only response is simply WHY THE GENTLY CARESS IS THE POWER GRID ON THE INTERNET?

How will this new law fix the problem though? I don't see it.

It won't, but that doesn't make the problem bogus.
