Man I was hoping 2024 would look nicer for the job market but it looks like the trend is not stopping

Yeah, several layoff announcements here today.

It's nice that they at least waited until after the X-mas shopping season.

I know a software developer that was laid off 2 weeks before Christmas. With only 2 weeks of severance pay (after being at the company for ~7 years).

Ouch :( That's rough, sorry to hear that...
