Great read! As 'flatlander' with no residency bias here (MA), I visit NH and VT often and would say VT is the better place for a casual visit (can't comment on live). Those NH billboards and box stores add-up whereas the entire state of VT can seem like a large national park.
Brilliant article that accurately captures a lot of differences. I'm a relatively recent Vermont resident who went through middle school unable to remember which was NH and which was VT, and find this article to be an excellent primer.
