Ask HN: How do find out what company is behind a Stripe invoice?

I am trying to find out what legal entity is behind a Stripe invoice. They use the app name and their website only talks about the app. Their invoice also says the app name. There is no mention of the legal entity behind it.

I would check the app's product page to find the developer. You could also check DNS registration for the website.

Stripe has a tool for getting info about a charge, but I haven't used it. It might just point you back to the app: https://support.stripe.com/charge-lookup
