Ask HN: Filtering by Author on Algolia with Hyphens?

If a name contains a hyphen, e.g. "1970-01-01" [0] it does not find any results, while filtering by a username that does not contain hyphens e.g. "dang" [1] it returns results.

Does anyone know if there is a way to filter by names that contain a hyphen? (I guess by omitting the "by:" it kinda works [2] for more obscure names like "1970-01-01" which are not mentioned often in posts/comments)
