Interesting but why surprising? Shaligramas which are worshipped as an immanent form of Vishnu bhagavan have long been known to be fossilized ammonites. The highest type of Shaligramas come from the Gandaki river in Nepal so they date back to before dinosaurs even before India crashed into Asia creating the Himalayas.
