Happy 14th Birthday, KrebsOnSecurity

Brian’s diligent effort in this field has been inspiring to me, glad to see this piece marking the milestone. I have found this blog to be one of the few consistent paragons of the infosec world that seems unconcerned with the salaciousness of threats, which predominate others’ coverage. Are there other, similar havens in the community that focus on as much technical detail?

I was always fascinated by Brian Krebs' detailed reports and he was one of the "good" guys. Then I witnessed how he took action against a major German website and how ruthlessly Brian is 100% only interested in the most exciting story possible and doesn't give a damn about human destinies. He actually goes one step further. He mocks his victims and is completely convinced that he is doing the right thing. And most people seems to believe him.

Brian Krebs, Du bist ein Hurensohn.
