I am told that in the 1970s, scouting in the US briefly experimented with ending gender separation.

(According to the anachronistic https://avatars.dzeninfra.ru/get-zen_doc/5233669/pub_60d5970... , Young Pioneers were supposed to leave 0,5m room at dances — even if not for the Holy Ghost)

Why is this on HN?

why not? i found it interesting

Care to go into more detail for those of us who don't follow long form video links and couldn't get any sense of what it was specifically about from the comment threads?

(I did follow yours, but didn't realise it had more than children's choir overtones. My favourite on these lines is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NepI7BTYpnY )

  People, I ask of you
  Люди, прошу я,

  Chill and vibe
  Потише, потише,

  Let wars die out
  Войны пусть сгинут во мгле.

  Stork on the roof
  Аист на крыше,

  Stork on the roof
  Аист на крыше,

  Peace on earth
  Мир на земле.
