Even the recent finding that Maggi noddles have egregious levels of lead [1] has not dented their popularity one bit.

These numbers include use of the seasoning packet. Without the seasoning, the sodium in the noodles is ~220mg in your average serving, which is WAY more in line with acceptable ranges.
If you're eating them as a base for something else (like adding an egg or fish) and/or you have made your own broth or just use them sautéed, the sodium just isn't anywhere near the concern that the article states.
