Condemning aggressive settlers is easy, but who will object to seemingly benign, peaceful "normal" families who are just seeking "normal" suburban Americanesque living? . It is the creeping normalization of "military occupation" [1] that poses, in my eyes, a more insidious issue than overt acts of violence.

The aggressive sellers enable the theft of Palestinian lands, through pogroms and other violence against the native inhabitants. The "peaceful normal" ones must piggyback on the violent ones to do the dirty job for them. If you curb the aggression, you curb the means of illegal settling for both groups.

It's weird to to see the inalienable right of a US citizen to enter the US be referred to as "a glaring loophole"

If you can make them respond in US soil for crimes committed abroad, this is probably as effective as any ban.

The travel ban is a toothless gesture precisely because you can’t bar a citizen from entering the US. Now if they said they’d prosecute any US citizen settlers that would be much more effective. I looked but could not find any instances of that happening, however.
