Good book. I've been doing a YouTube series using this book to write an interpreter in Nim. Should be able to resume publishing videos now that construction at my house is done. https://youtu.be/48CsjEFzyXQ
Have a hard copy on my bedside table. It’s exceptionally fun to read (nerdy, I know). Also have Game Programming Patterns both are great books by the same author
Would you recommend the paper copy over the web one?
I have the paper copy even though I mostly end up using the web version. I like having a well-made book to display, casually browse when I'm bored and to support the author.
For a moment I thought you meant hardcover copy and was wondering where you found one! It's a paperback, but an important enough book I'd love to have a hardcover version if one were available. Can't agree more!
Truly excellent book; and one of the best technique books I’ve read in my 30-plus years as a working programmer. Highly recommended.
Every time this is posted i upvote. Approximately how long does it take to go through?
Also if we can someone merge this level of detail/guidance with the projects on https://codecrafters.io/, i would easily pay for something like that.
I went through it during college times and it took me around 1-2 weeks, if you really want you could do it over two weekends!
One of the best books on the topic. Super easy to follow.
