Compared to that, Organic Maps work and is being actively developed.
I tend to prefer apps that don't get "updated". Too often, that means adding ads, begging, or tracking. The "Simple" series of Android apps went down that hole.
If it is downloading rasterized images from the web site, then the difference is that Organic Maps is a vector mapping app.
