Elon Musk says letting workers unionize creates 'lords and peasants'. What?

Musk doesn’t let workers have a voice in how to run and improve things? That’s a ridiculous statement. Of course they can and they do! But that doesn’t mean workers should be able to weigh in on any and every decision - a company is not a democracy.
(The only way I can parse this is he thinks that multinational corporations are the downtrodden proletariat, ruthlessly exploited by the cruel aristocracy of factory workers, or something.)
