We've come a long way since hunter-gatherer societies. One might say post-scarcity is today, the world is at our fingertips, and author is complaining about 1st world problems.

That said: good read, and article is spot on. Truly sad how vendors' "profit above all else" is degrading so many of our experiences.

Is it ironic that the article is split up by a dozen huge blocks of advertising and extraneous links? Which kinda…suck?

The article is a fair assessment. I have difficulties buying quality on Amazon. I will pay more elsewhere to get quality merchandise, than to deal with cheap knock-offs or erroneous items.
