This just 30 cents for feeding are not real. Wheat is not the same as bread. It must be processed. Baking bread for 100,000 people will require also a lot of energy and water that aren't free normally. Would be 30 + X cents.

Where do you think the term daily grind comes from. People used to grind their wheat everyday and then use it for cooking/baking.

I’m confused. Are you trying to refute their statement? Or just throwing out a tangential information?

The daily grind is you manually processing the wheat at the cost of your own labour.

Almost no one does that though, so I'm confused as to the point you are trying to make? Even the people who do make their own bread usually don't grind their own wheat.

I was just saying you could use a little time to get flour. It does not have to be money.

An other thing I could mention is wheat berries are common ingredient in soup. Just cause it has not been processed does not mean it's useless.
