The only censoring at Twitter happens because Musk does it. He’s imagining corporate and government forces arrayed against him because he can’t begin to contemplate the obvious: he ruined the platform.

We are watching the public unraveling of a man. It reminds me of the demise of Kayne: his antics and rhetoric became more and more extreme. And then one day it was all gone.

It both bemuses and worries me that someone so arrogantly destructive is the world’s wealthiest human (on record, anyway).

In a world where financial might trumps societal needs it is clear that, as a civilisation, we are in a downward spiral and it probably won’t stop anytime soon.

His wealth is comical and could be used to generate so much positivity but, instead, it appears every waking moment of his is dedicated to exuding negativity and division.

Such a sad, sad state of affairs.

For one thing, rich lists are self-reported. Too get more granular, SpaceX was worth $150B on the basis of a Saudi fund buying 0.02% of the cap table. The #2 rich guy, who sells overpriced handbags, is on a sounder footing.

Musk and his businesses are a positive force in the world. Popularizing electric vehicles, making space launches more efficient, and providing an open platform are great benefits.

Not really. I guess if you’re already drunk on the Kool-Aid it seems that way. He’s a grifter who capitalized on government largesse and the public forgetting his thousands of broken promises and lies.

Also totally prepared to fight Mark Zuckerberg.
