You can clearly see from the tweets that it was Tan that started tweeting anti-Palestinian tweets.
I'm not on twitter (and out of the loop with what people are arguing about on the internet) so maybe this will come off as brain dead but I think i'm missing context here. Why was he so mad about asking what Antifada means? why did you ask him that? confused on all of this tbh
Paul Graham has been very mildly pro-Palestinian and the VC community at large has been trying to "cancel" him because of it. Garry Tan is part of that community and is presumably trying to signal that he's pro-Zionist and not in line with PG (despite most of the world being in line with PG).

It's not some guy, it's the CEO of HN/YC blocking a YC founder.
