To make an analogy let's say I'm a gas station, gasoline has lots of great uses but also some nefarious uses. If somebody comes fills a jerry can, pays, and drives off but then burns their neighbors house down with said gas. Obviously I wouldn't be at fault.
However if someone comes in, says "I'd like gas to burn down my neighbor's house" and I say "No problem, this our top selling house burning gas, I can also give you a deal if you buy matches at the same time" and then they burn the neighbors house down I would absolutely be morally and legally liable.
I'm very frustrated with FAANGs attitude that they can't possibly review all their products or their interactions with customers. That's their damn problem and if they can't find the resources to stop themselves from willfully breaking the law then perhaps they shouldn't exist.
Within the past two years, any listing I put up immediately gets flagged and removed by other sellers. It’s a hostile environment for new or infrequent sellers, and existing sellers are using reporting as a barrier to entry.
