GCHQ spy gets life for stabbing NSA spy

“After Bunn intervened, he said Bowles told him he would understand his actions if he knew what was being done at GCHQ and said he was appalled by the work of the NSA.”

I can only imagine what is going on in these spy agencies, but is their work really that immoral and unethical to cause their own staff to lose their minds like this?

To survive in that line of work without losing your mind, would it help to be free of morals, humanity and ethics? And for some people, can they feel justified because their paycheck comes from whatever Govt. in the world that employs them?

I would love to understand the psychology at play. But I wouldn’t want to share the psychology!
