I always worry that this kind of investment is going to lead to the investors demanding the product be changed to no longer be FOSS in a misguided attempt to increase returns.
On the other, it's hard to see what the monetization pathway is here for the investors. I suppose plan to offer development consulting to firms using Godot? Some conflict always seems to come up with these "open source but commercial" entities.
