Ask HN: How many other devs got this scam email?
"Hi, Ross. I found you on HN Hiring and I'm very impressed by your professional skills. I'd like to invite you to our company.
We are looking for someone who will collaborate with us. We will send job applications to remote jobs and schedule job interviews for you. If you pass an interview, we will attend everything related to programming and you will attend meetings. We will work behind you and you can get more jobs as you can handle the meetings. And the compensation is, you share 50% of your income salary with us if you get hired. Let's imagine, if you run 10 jobs, you will make 5x money. If you are confident to pass interviews, it's no problem for you."
Unfortunately for them, I am much more likely to be good at doing the programming, than at doing well on the interview. Also, a job with all meetings and no programming is more or less my idea of Purgatory.
So, anyone else get this email?
