I was expecting this to be about Mycroft the AI assistant ( https://mycroft.ai/ ). Instead it is a collection of browser search plugins.
It predates the AI assistant by something like 19 years though.

Same for me. Does anyone have an independent opinion on the current state of Mycroft AI? They kind of lost me after only publishing fundraising updates for what felt like two years straight.
The original founders left in 2022. I know some people who were involved in the project but left due to it being a startup and treating all people as replaceable, no questions asked.
The project kind of feels superfluous nowadays though, it always seemed like an Amazon Echo you can hack on while not having the weight of Amazon behind it.
