Omea: The Integrated Information Environment by JetBrains (2005)

As others have noted, this is abandonware from 2005-ish.

But what were you imagining before you saw the screenshots? Is that something you'd use every day?

>Windows 2000/XP/2003

Looks neat, but seems to be abandonware. I can't install it in my OS, at least.

> FireFox 2.0 support

This seems to be from ~2006 (FireFox 2.0 support). Is it still usable?

I suspect OP doesn't know - it's one of the HN accounts that submits several times a day, ostensibly in an automated matter. I have a hard time believing Omea was found organically, as it's not even linked from JetBrain's main page anywhere.

Nothing about my submissions is automated. I was just googling about RSS readers on Windows and found a JetBrains product I had never heard about. Too bad it's abandonware.

Thanks, I got excited quite a bit as I tend to like Jetbrains products!

Isn't this abandonware mostly? Version 1.0 came out in 2004.

Yeah, this post needs a date added to it.

2.0 is from 2005.

Huh. It threw me for a loop to see the modern styling applied to a nearly-two-decade-old product. Good on them for keeping it compatible with the template, I suppose?
