Worse roads, more people take public transport. Win/win. How's that train link to Melboune airport again? Oh right. Right.

And Sydney has superior public transport to Melbourne.

Melbourne has more letters in it's name. That's a clear win right there.

Melbourne was designed and sits on a flat pancake of land.

Sydney grew largely organically and is smeared across countless fjord-type bays and stew hills.

There are things that grow organically and arent anywhere near as shit as Sydney

A rivalry to the people in Melbourne. Love you guys though and your city. A lot more cultural events going on.

Say the Melbournians as they huddle in their laneways holding flat whites and cursing the terrible weather, while Sydneysiders are out surfing at the beach on yet another glorious sunny day.

If you consider having a public holiday to bet on the a horse race, sure. I don't really see the cultural lustre. But I'm a lifelong Sydney-sider so I'm biased.

The harbour geography makes transport tough. Much prettier but much less efficient.
