Ask HN: How to make PDF from a news arcticle / archive.ph?

1 pointalbert_e2 comments

Sometimes I prefer sharing a PDF copy of an article instead of a archive.ph link to an interesting article.

Is there a simple way -- say through a bookmarklet or a browser extension -- to comvert a news article either from original webpage or from its archive.ph version into a clean readable PDF?

Thanks

I've been using FireShot to capture whole pages and save as PDF, quite useful for tutorials. It works by manually scrolling the page, capturing each part and then stitching it together. Can also save as an image.

But that would be a "flat" PDF that is essntially an image -- correct?

Not "text" that is searchable and selectable (like you would get if you do a clean print-to-PDF from a webpage)?
