The wholesome "democratic spirit" (or rather, the lack thereof) of the modern technocrats never ceazes to amaze.
Funnily enough, stalinist russia had pioneered this particular practice.
I'm on the other side of the channel, and the "standard of living" has been going spectacularly down before and after the Brexit, so there's that.
Not to mention some little less known facts: people can legitimately vote or go against the improvement of their "standard of living", if it's for greater causes and principles. Not everybody measures everything in monetary terms.
Reductive arguing.
"The wholesome "democratic spirit" (or rather, the lack thereof) of the modern technocrats never ceazes to amaze."
Strawman arguing.
"Funnily enough, stalinist russia had pioneered this particular practice."
Fallacious appeal to history.
I know I'm just listing off fallacies and not countering anything but I'm just amazed you managed to fit 3 fallacies into 3 lines. You may be a prodigy of the irrational.
First of all, I'm not making a formal argument, going from some initial assumptions to a conclusion via some explicit or implicit building process. I'm merely stating an opinion.
"Reductive arguing" Why, yes. It is meant to reduce decades of political experience, historical knowledge, and observations into a summary description of the kind of logic behind such "research".
"The wholesome "democratic spirit" (or rather, the lack thereof) of the modern technocrats never ceazes to amaze."
"Strawman arguing" Not an argument. A statement: "The wholesome "democratic spirit" (or rather, the lack thereof) of the modern technocrats never ceazes to amaze".
Take it or leave it.
"Fallacious appeal to history" Nothing fallacious about there being a long history of similar psychiatrization of political differences and dissent that this is related to.
"I know I'm just listing off fallacies and not countering anything but I'm just amazed you managed to fit 3 fallacies into 3 lines. You may be a prodigy of the irrational"
Nah, you're just a prodigy of not having an opinion (or, for that matter, an actual argument), and using knee-jerk responses for every situation...
