Would the author have been able to include his personal donation pitch if this was only published on the FreeBSD site?

https://freebsdfoundation.org/ might be a better choice, to include the various contributors.

Aha. I ran into issues installing too. I wonder if this was it. Will try again over the weekend. In the meantime I rolled back, thanks to ZFS and bectl as always <3
