So, big tech company with a long history of antitrust:

- hires top AI voice and colleagues from OpenAI

- wants to change board of non-profit who’s charter includes long-term safety and broadly distributed benefits, amongst others https://openai.com/charter

They don't have a "long history of antitrust". They're just big and and so regulatory agencies target them for collecting political and internal points. Few of Microsoft's actions merit antitrust, although in the 90s there were some. It's not the 90s.

Great remark. They still go by the same sequence of letters, forming a brand name.

We have a proverb in NL that I'm not sure translates well into English but it is something like 'the fox will change its coat but not its nature'.

There’s another proverb. The only constant is change.
