Rosalynn's idea of deinstitutionalizing mental health entails mass-closing down mental health facilities in favor of local community-based mental counseling also is still incidentially causing a steady rise of mental health outbursts in public to a peak we have never seen before to this day.
The last nail in the coffin was Mental Health Systems Act of 1980 which effectively closed the revolving door of psychiatric hospitals for 950,000 patients, left to the "street" to fend for themselves or be poorly treated at jails and prisons.
Take-home of mental health prescription medicine of 1973 was this the tee off.
