Forward Health launches CarePods, a self-contained, AI-powered doctor's office

This screams Theranos bullshit. And investors are along for the ride for over a half billion dollars.

We should also talk about how crappy it is that corporations are fighting over a market of barely-insured people who can’t afford to see a doctor. This is a product that shouldn’t exist at all.

Apparently what consumers are clamoring for in healthcare is less human interaction, right?

Read between the lines: this is basically a pod with a voice assistant and screen that guides the user through doing unsavory things like giving yourself a strep test. Uhh…who is going to agree to do that?

I think customers are going to be creeped out by the fact that this is packaged as a “pod.” Who has ever wanted to go inside a pod?

The article says "The new CarePod modules are being deployed in malls, gyms, and offices starting in the San Francisco Bay Area, New York, Chicago and Philadelphia.", and yet the only video posted by the company is a 3D animation?

I'm confused, do these pods exists or not?
