Holy See (Vatican City)

Population growth rate 0% (2014 est.)

Turns out having a nearly all male population sworn to celibacy doesn't increase the population much.

Which puts it at 194/236 in terms of world population growth rankings:

United Arab Emirates Age structure 15-64 years: (male 5,840,920/female 2,314,683) more than 2 guys per women

Brutal, what happened here?

I think it's due to migrant labor. Many people travel from surrounding countries to work because the UAE is incredibly rich.

80% of the UAE's population and 90% of its labor force are migrants, and they are extremely heavily disproportionately disproportionately male.

That is actually a bit scary considering that, this supposedly means that the women either give birth to more male than female or that women don't give birth at all inside UAE, or that females are not staying in UAE.

Catch my drift ?

No. This is driven by a huge reliance on foreign migrant labor, which is overwhelmingly male.

> immigrants make up about 87.9% of the total population

The makeup of the native population probably isn't unbalanced-- rather, women aren't coming to the UAE to work.

Female infanticide.

A lot of people in the gulf countries are temporary migrant workers, actual saudi population is closer to 50/50
