Perfect Dark: Recompiled

Nintendo doesn't own Perfect Dark anymore; Microsoft got it when they bought Rare.
I’m very excited for this Perfect Dark port because I love that game. It would be cool if someone creates a mod that supports online multiplayer.
Nintendo won't allow any binaries floating around though.
Was gutted by what came next, but at the very least we got Timesplitters.
Never actually played the single player part of either game. It was nonstop 4-player battles. I hated it when they put prox mines near the spawn points, but that's only because I didn't get there first.
The game also not only had a co-op mode for the campaign, but also an extremely rare "2nd person" counter-op mode, where a second player could take control of random mooks in the mission, jumping from body to body each time they died. There are extremely few games like this, one of the only other ones I can think of is actually Duck Hunt for the NES (you can control the ducks using the 1P controller).
I didn't think it lived up to Goldeneye. It was clearly superior in some ways (bots!), but i think it was too fast, especially considering the input device only had one joystick, and thus was total dogshit.
I put probably 25x the hours into GE that I did PD.
I'm still kinda mad that the bots had wallhacks. I'm guessing some guy coded that in 5 minutes and they never changed it.
This was, for me, the perfect control mechanism. I still prefer that to modern PS and Xbox controllers.
I hadn't really thought of it, but someone should totally make a detached, ergonomic controller like that. I guess the switch has that, right? But their joysticks are so short that they're not very precise.
The Kinesis of controllers. Of course, I think Xbox just banned 3rd-party controllers. A lot of third-party risk there.
I can't wait for other improvements too!
