Worth posting how I first learned of this magical instrument:

What an epic video LMAO thanks for sharing

I did not expect the klezmer krossover at the end. True genius.

> "I call this trick 'The Sneaky Douchebag'"

LMAO. Unexpected content: music, singing, puppetry, comedy, physical comedy, soldering, and yiddish!

Jenny Lewis and the Watson Twins performing "You Are What You Love" (one of the Watson twins has an Omnichord on her lap):

Speaking of Saddle Creek sound, I first discovered the omnichord after seeing Conor Oberst use one to play a classic Bright Eyes song at an intimate venue in the mountains near Woodstock, NY

That was great! Thank you!

Probably we follow the same subreddits ;-)

Famously "Clint Eastwood" - Gorillaz was from a preset called "Rock 1" on the omnichord

Albarn showing it: https://youtube.com/shorts/Wn0NtSNeQEQ?si=alHRDiTrEjMhTn4K

I feel compelled to share this song played on an Omnichord and a telephone. I saw this video one night and it lit up a part of my brain that stored how the 90s felt. This may be the anthem of the dead mall.

As an aside: the Omnichord series is being revived with a new anniversary model – I believe the model's launch date is set for December.

Delayed until next year now: https://suzukimusic-global.com/news_single.php?news_cd=29

I first saw an Omnichord in Phox's amazing "Slow Motion". I had to look it up immediately.

(It comes in at around 3:21 if you're impatient.)

Someone needs to record an Omnichord set of Christmas melodies as the soundtrack, or backing music, for the movie Alien.

Overall, there needs to be more fan re-soundtracking/re-cuts of classic movies.

I thought for sure the whole "Wizard of Oz / Dark Side of the Moon" thing would lead to such a scene, but it failed to materialize.

Ha! Always surprised by what shows up on HN. I am sitting near two aging Omnichords right now.

About that sport coat...
