Me too. I'd double the amount that I pay for API usage to get 32k window.

A larger window is the only thing making my eyes wander towards Anthropic.

Honestly, I prefer Anthropic as far as just general writing goes. Good luck getting an API key, though.

You can easily get Claude 2 nowadays from Amazon Bedrock.
