Samuel Beckett used to drive André the Giant to school

Andre the Giant was fascinating. Athletic, intellectual and self-aware of how he was perceived. I highly suggest watching this 40 minute biography to truly understand how ridiculous his life was.

The population of Molien was 27 at the time, and 30 when Andre came back home :)

One of the best stories about Beckett is that when his wife found out he'd won the Nobel Prize she said "Quelle catastrophe!"

I believe there are some stories and interviews with Andre about this in the widescreen anamorphic Princess Bride DVD.

Did not know that Andre had bulgarian father. (I'm bulgarian myself). Obey!

Am I the only one who thought it was a summary of an unreleased Quantum Leap episode?

No.
