Police love Google's surveillance data

They patted me down, demanded my ID (which had my address listed as the location of the call)... then talked to me like I was a teenager or terrorist that they could search my laptop and personal effects, that I had no rights, and that if they had to return they'd arrest me, not the NRA member who'd blocked the only exit to the house and claimed that since he can no longer spank me, he was gonna give me a piece of his mind and if I put a finger on him (AKA... brush past him fleeing his gunpoint lecture).
The police can't be trusted farther than you can throw them, and need to be disarmed and defunded, not given bulk access to surveilace data that would make Erich Honecker sprout a stiffy... people need to learn that they're not entitled to FEEL secure, and that they live in a time of unparalleled peace in a world that's seen anything but, rather than hand the tools of totalitarians to enemies domestic.
Unless you lived in a windowless shack, you're leaving out some details, because I don't think a residential dwelling with only one point of egress would be up to code. Not siding with the cops, but also can't side with you, because the retelling appears to not include parts that would have allowed you to exit without escalating anything with the person at the door.
So technically, these homes have a fire exit, but it's a single use deal that takes time to get out of -- basically more of an escape hatch, not something to be used for sneaking out at night. It's to escape a fire, not a physical attack -- you'd be shot or stabbed in the back, cutting yourself on mesh and rock if you tried to use it fast.
So picture a basement with stairs leading up to the main floor, and the cops going "hurr well technically you['re not trapped, you can go out the fire exit if your father points a loaded gun at you and screams from the only safe exit,
Does that help?
I'm happy to go into more detail. I used to avoid small points like that since it gives away information about where they are located, but since the death of Jeffrey Epstein I've had a policy of not aiding opsec of abusers -- propaganda is the selective telling of truths, and folks need to moderate their behavior if they want to both BE and FEEL safe.
Reminds be of the Spy plane[1] that local grassroots privacy advocates were up in arms about.
