The PRC and ROC are two separate countries with a border dispute. Historically both wanted to annex the other and today really just the PRC wants to annex the ROC. The PRC/ROC refuses to have relations with any government that recognizes the ROC/PRC.
That’s about it really. Hopefully sanity prevails and they don’t restart a war that ended (literally) generations ago.
Being nit-picky, but France and French Guiana in South America should have the same color.
