That's not a failure. It's either incompetence or it's intentional. Both are unacceptable. And yet there there are companies, think tanks and individuals lining up to trumpet the narrative.
I'm not sure how they define this because I find conflicting info elsewhere. Our world in data has global cereal production only going up [0]. That data only goes until 2021 so there could have been a decrease in 2022 but then it would probably be wrong to say "recent years".

Every time I read the "real" scientific outlook on climate change it's so disturbing I tend to disocciate for a bit and then move on to thinking about something else. I suspect a great portion of people intelligent enough to see the writing on the wall go through similar cycles.
If anybody has suggestions as to how to navigate one's life while holding the knowledge that earth / wildlife as we know it is probably circling the drain, I'd love to hear it. Personally, I don't understand how anybody else is able to function through their life with this knowledge, beyond denial and ignorance...
